Education / Certification: Bachelor’s degree and valid SBEC Teacher Certification in the area of expertise (Reading /Language Arts or Math) Special Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrate expertise in teaching the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS); understanding of beginning teacher development; knowledge of formative assessments; effective interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively with teachers; effective coaching, and conferencing skills; demonstrate commitment to professional growth and learning; demonstrate effectiveness as a professional role model; demonstrate use of best teaching practices; understanding of and ability to use teacher development research; use of data to show successful implementation of research-proven best practices in your classroom
Experience:
Experience:
3-5 years of successful teaching experience in mathematics as indicated by student achievement data
Leadership experience such as grade level chair, lead teacher, curriculum writer, creating/presenting professional learning in math
Experience teaching intermediate grades (4-8) and/or secondary grades (9-12) preferred
Extensive professional learning in mathematics is preferred
Instructional coach experience preferred
Education/Certification:
Highly Qualified in the appropriate content ( Math) and grade configuration
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Master’s Degree preferred
